Tell us a little about you. How did you get your start? How long have you been in business? Describe your style of photography.
Hello, I am Pavlina, a personal brand photographer from Prague, but currently living in Regensburg.
I moved to Germany 10 years ago because my husband wanted to work here. The first years were not easy for me and I could not find my purpose for a long time.
I was constantly struggling with the feeling of not belonging…I didn’t speak German fluently, I didn’t have colleagues or people around me who would understand my situation, and I couldn’t find a job that I would like…. I studied modern history, so I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but I didn’t expect it to be so hard.
After a horrible experience at the Arbeitsamt and some interviews, I slowly realized that being my own boss was the right path for me. But what should I do?
My daughter was the first impulse! I have always been creative plus the DSLR camera has been around me all my life. So I started taking pictures of her and it slowly developed into my profession as a family photographer.

I learned so much not only about photography but also about the ups and downs and what it means to be in business…And then it hit me. I want to support women like me on this journey of entrepreneurship, which often isn’t easy, but it’s so worth it. My mission as a photographer was born.
My goal is to support and empower passionate women entrepreneurs through authentic images that give them the confidence to show up online and attract their dream clients, so their soul business can grow and they can make money doing what they love!
What is your approach to a brand shoot?
My ultimate goal is to provide you with authentic images that help you grow. That means approaching our shoot with a purpose. Therefore, I need to know your brand story, your values, and the message you want to convey to your audience. So our collaboration starts long before our shoot. I want you to feel seen and heard.
Only with the right strategy will you get images that will serve you for a long time and make you proud of what you have achieved. It is all about capturing who you are, what you provide and what makes your brand unique.
What type of clients do you like to work with? Any specific industries or sectors you like to work with?
I have worked with service as well as product based business. What my clients have in common is that they are passionate about what they do.
What are 1-3 tips you’d give to people preparing for a brand shoot?
Photography along with a website and logo are just visual representation of your brand, so that is why design should be the last step in this whole branding process. The first one would be:
1. Having a brand clarity.
Once you are clear on your brand vision, creating images becomes much easier as you go into the photo session with a clear direction and goal.
2. Choosing the right photographer for you.
This may seem obvious, but I always recommend calling the photographer first and checking out the portfolio to see if they and their work click with them. Not only aesthetically, but also on a personal level. This plays a big role in a successful photo shoot.
3. Knowing your brand colours and incorporate them in your outfit, location or props.
4. Creating a Moodboard.
This helps me to understand what catches your eye. Explain what you like about the image (pose, emotion etc.) We use it only as an inpiration, we won´t copy the images.
5. Choosing the right location: Choosing a location for your photo shoot is important because it will set the tone for your shoot and impact the look and feel of your photos.
