Welcome to The Germany List Advent Calendar! We’re highlighting international and expat small business owners in Germany and helping you get all of your holiday shopping done all at the same time.
Who wouldn’t love a care package of delicious, authentic Mexican goods?!?
As a California native, one of the biggest adjustments for me was not being able to eat Mexican food on the regular. Things have changed a lot since I got here in the late 90s, but still, every few months I order a box of corn tortillas, tomatillo salsa and other moles so I always have them on hand for a quick Mexican dinner.
If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to get some Tamales for Christmas. Check out the online shop to order here.
P.S. The owner, Jesus Navarrez, an expat from Mexico City who now lives in Unterschleißheim outside of Munich, was one of the first Germany Expat Business Show guests!
He shared the journey behind his Mexican food import business as one of the first people to bring authentic Mexican cuisine in Germany. He shared the challenges of launching a tortilla business in Germany, including (surprise!) navigating bureaucracy, mastering the craft of tortilla-making, and convincing hesitant restaurant owners in Germany to embrace authentic corn tortillas.
